well i was getting ready to go to marysville track to try out my brushed 1/10 revo it has evx2 and titans
but i still love it anyways iv ran it many many times recently with some new cheap venom 3000 8.4v batts so i got my batts charged threw them in the truck didnt plug them in. went to the track 2 hours later pluged in the batts and hit the power button on the esc normally when i hit the button the servo twitches and it dosnt turn on till i do it 3-4 times but it always turned on. well this time it never did so 5 mins of playing with it we notice smoke rolling out of the battery compartment the ends of my 7 cells were burnt and melting and making all sorts of very bad noises hissing sounds..lol anyone have any ideas on what went wrong ? i was thinking dead short in esc ? its a evx2 and i really dont wanna go brushless i was thinking of going with dual kershaw 700ho motors but now im not sure if i want another evx2 and if not what? |
