Make sure your RC car or truck stands out from the crowd. Here are 7 custom decal kits we recommend!

All of the remote control cars, trucks, and planes we feature on our site include decals so your shiny new RC toy will look more realistic and ready to race!

However, you want your remote control vehicle to reflect your personality and likes, and to be sure it doesn’t look like anyone else’s remote control car or truck!

A perfect way to customize your remote control car or truck is by adding custom decals to showcase sponsor brands, the headlights and taillights you prefer, intakes, grills, the options are endless!

Factors to Consider First

Here are some important considerations before choosing custom decals for any radio control car or truck:

  1. RC Vehicle Size: Most custom decals for radio control cars or trucks are designed for 1/10 scale vehicles. They will look out of proportion on smaller or larger radio control vehicles.
  2. Materials: Be sure to look for water resistance and UV protection so your new decals don’t peel off if they get wet and don’t fade in the sun.
  3. Design: Many decals are available for radio control cars and trucks, but few feature high-quality graphics that look realistic and real automotive brands or racing sponsors. Be sure to take your time reviewing decals and reading reviews.

Common Questions About Decal Kits

Can you design your own RC car decals?

Yes, it’s possible to design your own RC car decals by using specialized software or by outsourcing the task to a professional graphic designer. The process can involve creating a design, printing it onto vinyl material, and then applying it to the RC car.

How much does it cost to put decals on an RC truck?

The cost of putting decals on a new or used truck can vary depending on factors such as the size and complexity of the design, the material used, and the location of the decal. Prices can range from a few dollars for small, simple decals to hundreds of dollars for large, intricate designs.

How much are DIY RC stickers?

DIY RC stickers can be made using a variety of materials, such as vinyl sheets, printable adhesive paper, or even plain paper and clear tape. The cost can range from a few cents to several dollars, depending on the material used and the size and complexity of the design.

How do you apply body decals on a remote control car?

To apply RC body decals, the surface of the car body should be cleaned and dried thoroughly. The decal should be positioned and smoothed onto the surface, then trimmed to fit the body.

Air bubbles can be removed by using a squeegee or credit card to push them towards the edge of the decal. Finally, a heat gun or hair dryer can be used to activate the adhesive and help the decal conform to the curves of the body.

Just outfitted my crawler today!

Take your time to do it right. Love them on my Traxxas, but you can easily ruin a decal. Take the time to prep first.
